About Samantha Childs:

Samantha Childs has wanted to write kid's books ever since she was a kid. She earned a BA with Honors in Literature from Claremont McKenna College and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University, and then a little French bulldog named Henri came  along and brought her first book to life.  Samantha has taught writing to students of all ages and lives and writes in Southern California.

About Henri:

Henri (pronounced "Henry") is Samantha's French bulldog, and the star of Henri and the Magnificent Snort. Henri inspired, delighted, and touched hearts all over the world, directly and through his famous instagram account @henrilefrenchie. Henri brought joy and love and sunshine wherever he went, and he continues to do so within the pages of this book and whenever you think of him.

About Henri and the Magnificent Snort:

Henri and the Magnificent Snort was inspired by Samantha's childhood experiences of being bullied when starting a new middle school. These are interwoven within the book with the true story and lovable characteristics of Henri the Frenchie, and his journey moving from New York City to Southern California. And, like in the best  times in life, there is a little extra magic sprinkled on top.
